Design a lamp originating from the theme Upcycling with a hinged or moving unit. Use an existing jam jar with close able lid as a basis, the lid mustn’t be seen in the final design.

What makes something pretty?
This is a hard question to answer.

Normally this question is answered by looking at the emotions a product arouses. However I found during this design process that prettiness can be calculated. This fascinated me and thus has been my most important partial study during the design process.
